inFamous!

Basic Story Outline
OH MY GOD! Now I am not one to rant about a game at all! But infamous came out of nowhere. It 100% deserves all the brilliant reviews it received. The game basically starts off with a massive explosion in the middle of Edge City. From then on things get better (that sounds well sadistic ha ha) your character (Cole) finds out he has the ability to manipulate electricity (which is so freaking cool). Basically from then on you have a choice whether or not you use your abilities for the greater good of mankind or you incinerate everything that moves and use your powers for your own selfish needs (ha ha ha ha ha). You then basically get a call from your best friend asking you to escape the city with him (whole city is on lock down due to biological threats, everyone seems to think its terrorists). Once you make your break you get taken into this chamber with some dodgy FBI woman who basically tells you that her husband John was caught in the blast and you need to find him. She also tells you about a device called the Ray Sphere which was created by this cult called the first sons. The Ray Sphere basically absorbs all the energy from the surrounding people near the sphere and puts that energy into who ever is holding the sphere. Hence Cole being in the center of the blast, so he now thinks its all his fault that those people died and gets dubbed a terrorist by this guy that keeps cropping up on the TV (i don't actually know who he is i just ignored him and enjoyed the scenery and awesome game play) Then to top all the accusations of terrorism off his girlfriend Trish buggers off and leaves him. (As if being a super hero isn't hard enough ha ha) Then you're left to take on the gang in the neon district (starting area) called the Reapers! SCARY! That's all I'm gonna say about the story line because ill ruin the whole story if i did. BUT!! its soooooooooooooo good i highly recommend it and give it a 9/10 :)

Game play And Missions
The game play is outstanding I mean it actually feels nice to play. Unlike most games that feel clunky and heavy this one feels soft responsive and gives you free control of the camera. This enables you to see where your goals are, it also enables you to find the quickest way around the city. The power system is also really clever and not in anyway complicated. Each power pretty much has one button, All you do is hold L1 and press any of the buttons, this in no way makes the game boring it makes the game more playable and saves you fumbling around for buttons or pausing constantly to find out certain combos. The games also looks nice with destructible cars and scenery, also you find things will start blowing up and get messy, in other games i found that it slowed the game down, but this didn't at all it was as smooth as watching a film in action, also i found the game to hardly be glitchy at all, i think once in the whole game did i fall into the scenery, but that was because id been playing for 6 hours straight ha ha. I also found that in the whole game there where only three maybe four loading screens, there may have been more but i was so sucked in i didn't pay attention and its not very often i get dragged into a game. The only annoying thing with the powers is you have to level them up via experience gained from missions, side missions and taking out enemy's. Also I recommend doing all the side missions as once you finish them all in an area, enemy's wont return to that area as you take the territory for your own. The annoying thing about side missions is they get really repetitive until the later areas and they change and become more challenging. The main missions themselves change every time and really enjoyable whether it be a boss battle (which are awesome) or it be a quest in search of a person - either John at the beginning or doing quests to turn power back on by electrifying relay stations in the sewers. Also throughout the game you will receive good karma missions or bad karma mission. Ive only been through the Bad Karma missions and I can safely say.....Brutal! ha ha They involve a lot of killing innocents or blowing up certain buildings whether they be police stations or rival gangs hide outs. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable game and awesome storyline got me completely hooked from start to finish and highly reccomend it for any person that enjoys free roaming chaos ha ha. Hope you found this helpful and if you have any questions just leave me a comment and ill reply as soon as :)

Class specific quests

Hello, just a quick post to mention the ever irritable class specific quests. BOOO!! In some class specific quests you get told to run around half of the world (of warcraft lol) and get one item - it's a complete faff but worth it. So basically class specific quests (CSQ if we're getting lazy lol) are quests given by your class trainer - the guy or girl you get all your new spells every 2nd level. i.e. you get your first spells at 2 then 4 and so on. So this lovely Tauren lady is your class trainer, shes the designated hand in for the taurens CSQ:

So what does a CSQ do for you? Well... It basically gives you an item or a spell that only your class can use. For example Warlocks get the ability to summon imps and voidwalkers and hunters get the ability to tame beasts in the game. A Shaman gets the ability to lay down Totems; the first range of Totems you learn is from the Earth Element and later on your get fire, wind and water. Throughout the game you will see giant monolith stones and be asked to make a certain instrument for example a torch or a sapta to see hidden elementals:

The Stone i mentioned :)

The earth elemental too :)

Once finished with doing whatever you were asked to do by your class trainer, the elementals either give you a part of themselves as proof that you spoke to them or they ask you to kill a rogue elemental or certain elemental mobs - causing them some grief (which in theory they could just do it themselves, but theres no fun in that lol). After you have handed in the quest you will be given an earthbound Totem which goes into your inventory, which basically means you can now summon your new Totem. YAY! The first totem you receive is the stoneskin Totem which gives you and your party an armour increase of 95. YAY! So thats basically my bit on class specific quests. If i ever find the time i'll also do a quick warlock levelling experience so you can see the lengths they have to go to, to get the items. Hope you found this part helpful.
Bye for now!

Starting areas and level 1 - 6

YAY! Got the ball rolling! I started off my epic journey in the Red Cloud Mesa :D YAY! It's the beautiful starting area for the Tauren. Each starting area is different for each class unless your a Gnome/Dwarf or a Troll/Orc - they both share the same starting area. Trolls/Orcs share Orgrimmar and Gnomes/Dwarves share Dun Morogh. So here's photos of me getting my first and second quest in the Red Cloud Mesa!

HELLO!!

See it's easier than it looks, haha. Upon my journey I've decided that for every tenth level i'll either put up a video of me hitting the tenth level or a screen print :D So here i am ready to get going. The first quests are straight forward you will NEVER die in a starting area unless you take on more than you can handle, but they're mainly just passive beasts (there are three different colours for each creature. Green: Friendly, Yellow: Passive, Red: Aggressive) the level range is 1 - 5 in these areas, but you shouldn't leave your starting area until your at least level 6. The first quests you get are from Grull Hawkwind and Chief Hawkwind. Grull sends you to go kill some Plainstriders and get their meat and feathers whereas Chief Hawkwind asks you to go find his mother. So there's the first two quests, which are straight forward. The quests you find in your starting area will be simple and in short distance of each other, so it's easy to stack quests and then have one massive quest hand in :D

See you at level 6 for the leaving of Red Cloud Mesa :(

Introduction

Hello! This is my first ever blog - so be kind!
This blog will mainly be about my experiences in World Of Warcraft; leveling and questing - not so much doing the professions - as I'm hopeless at doing them! Unlike my girlfriend who seems to spend more time enhancing her professions than actually playing the game.. pfft. This is in no way telling people how to play the game, because each player, plays completely different to another. There's no two ways of playing Warcraft, every time you play it is completely different to the first. I just wanted to share my experiences and show my way of leveling and if that's any way helpful to someone - then that's just a bonus!
That's the overview of my blog to be, for the most part. However, there will be other posts regarding reviews on certain games for the PS3! So keep a look out for those :)

The WoW character in question (our blog guinea pig) is a Tauren Shaman and I will be taking him from start to finish - so it's a definite long road ahead! (i say finish, what i really mean is until blizzard release another expansion! hah)

I will be doing it ten level's at a time, just showing areas that are quested in - showing certain quests that can be difficult. As a part, I tend to miss out dungeon's, seeing as once you're in a guild there's usually someone in the guild who can make you better gear than you will find in the dungeon's - in my opinion! For a price ;D
The Add On's I will be using: Quest Helper and Auctioneer. You can find them here and many useful class specific add on's - http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/default.aspx
These are the only two add on's that I truly use, I've tried Titan bars before and Omen - but they just seem to clog the screen up and are unhelpful to me as I'm not a big raider. When I first started playing WoW there wasn't such things as quest helpers or add on's! Ha

If you have any questions - at all - just leave a comment and i'll do my best to help
Hope to see you on this little journey!
Sam :)
